About Aman

Originating from Washington, D.C., Aman Mundle is a costume designer, wardrobe dresser, and artisan in their final year of pursuing a BFA in Costume Design at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. They are a recipient of the Kenan Excellence Scholarship—a full-ride scholarship awarded to students deemed the best potential artist-scholars based on their abilities in their arts discipline and leadership capabilities.

Aman’s artistic perspective is heavily influenced by their upbringing in D.C.'s culturally diverse environment, as well as the hustle and bustle of metropolitan life. Their passion for costuming stems from an affinity for bridging the worlds of fashion and multifaceted storytelling. They are highly meticulous and take pride in crafting even the most minute details.

In addition to designing, Aman has experience in garment construction and possesses a variety of specialized skills, including hairstyling, jewelry making, and dyeing.

When they aren’t working in their studio, Aman is a devoted cat parent who enjoys hosting board game nights, cooking, and listening to podcasts.
