Lady Marmalade: A Drag Number

The objective of this project was to design a group number for 4 drag artists to perform the song Lady Marmalade. To play into and emphasize the sultry nature of the song, the concept I developed was to theme each queen around a chocolate flavor commonly found in a box of gourmet chocolates. The color palette primarily lives in shades of brown, with each queen’s personality being conveyed through unique fabric choices and through representing distinct styles of drag/fashion.
