A married couple of 1890’s photographers set out to capture a once-in-a-lifetime planetary alignment that could solidify their spot in history books. Whilst on a train ride, tensions rise as cracks in their marriage shine through and pieces of their equipment start vanishing. Throughout the film, their mental states deteriorate and as do their outfits. Although the pair have deep love for each other, their core values differ- Francis is motivated by a desire to leave a legacy, be revered, and keep up appearances, whereas Lynn is a nonconformist and simply loves the artistry of their jobs. Francis dresses well and discreet, Lynn’s nonconformist attire lean more practical, and masculine compared to traditional fashion of most women from the era.
